![]() I'm going to try and disable wavetable completely with "MSCONFIG" and see if ASIO works properly and more importantly to see if all my system audio still works (system sounds, video, mp3 playback etc. This appears to be an "experimental" option and is reported to work only in a few cases - luckily it helped with mine and I can at least get ASIO output from headphones now but still not speakers.Ĥ- The solution is to disable the default wavetable or at least assign it to a different audio output while ASIO is running. I bought a cheap USB soundcard but couldn't get this to work (might work with onboard or PCI cards though?)ģ- There are also some software hacks to toggle the "exclusive" mode of the wavetable driver on and off inside the windows sound settings menu of the control panel. The solution is to close that program and restart the music program but the problem is that it's "Windows Wavetable" that's hogging the driver and there's no option to disable it.Ģ- I saw a few hardware hacks that allow you to assign this wavetable to a second sound card by activating it with a headphone jack, thus freeing up the ASIO for the primary soundcard. MP3, open a new project, and record at low latency. If experiencing under-runs (clicks, pops, glitches, etc.) Increase your buffer size (to 1024, or 2048) If still experiencing under-runs, you can select the Triple buffer setting. Asio4All is a sound driver, or in other words, it is the platform that FL Studio uses to produce sound from your computer. It uses WDM Kernel-Streaming and sometimes even more sophisticated methods to achieve its objectives. ![]() You'll also need to set playback tracking to either Hybrid or Mixer. What is Asio for all Driver ASIO4ALL is a hardware independent low latency ASIO driver for WDM audio devices. ![]() Thanks for the hlep, this is a more technical problem than covered in the help file or the vide but it partially helped me to figure out what's wrong - I've only found a partial solution as yet, will update if I get it working fully.ġ- The problem is that there IS another sound program using the output which disables ASIO audio. FL Studio tells us that the single core speed is most important in selecting a CPU. The problem is: If I use FL studio ASIO as my audio device in Ableton my Obs picks it up and its fine, but I have input/output latency with my midi. Open FL Studio, open the Options menu, select Audio Settings and s elect the name of your device or the name of the Focusrite Driver if on Windows.
